Defying the reports that Kangana Ranaut withdrew out of Sujoy Ghosh's
'Durga Rani Singh' over compensation issue, the actress confirmed that she had some aforementioned promises due to which she left the film."I had prior commitments, so I could not do Sujoy Ghosh's film," actress confirmed at an event related to inauguration of Tanishq’s new collection. She also said that "But it is an amazing film ('Durga Rani Singh'), amazing script and he will do best whatever it will be".
At first, Vidya Balan, was in for the project, but she gave up for unheard causes and the plan was put on hold for a while. Afterwards, being impressed with Kangana's act in 'Queen', Ghosh signed her for 'Durga Rani Singh'. Now, Sujoy is again on a hunt for the leading lady for his project and reports claim that Kareena Kapoor Khan’s name is into consideration for the same.
