Dr. Y. D.Nihal Jayathilaka who was appointed by the President as the new Secretary of the Ministry of Economic Development assumed duties in the post on Thursday (29) at the Ministry office. Dr. Jayathilaka held the posts of Secretary to the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Local Government and Provincial Councils prior to this appointment.
Botanical Garden & Public Recreation Ministry Secretary Willie Gamage, Economic Development Ministry Additional Secretaries Hema Dharmawardhana, Shantha Bandara, Priyantha Mayadunne and other senior Ministry officials were among those who attended the event.
